Ok, so on my profile it says that I have 136 watchers, but in my messages it says that 92 deviants added added to their deviantWATCH.
So have I lost a bunch of watchers, or is that just the way that the messages work?

Pretty much; there's also a pandemic that occurred when you were gone over "fake watches" (basically people who pressed the button then would unwatch you in order to get pageviews)
